{Wanted} Baby’s First Year Stories
We are excited to be working on a follow up book to The Pregnancy Companion. The Baby Companion: A Faith-Filled Guide Through The First Year will hopefully be available next spring. We are hard at work on the manuscript, joined by Pediatrician mom, Dr. Andrea Johnston. Our desire for this follow up resource is to provide new moms (and current moms welcoming new babies into their lives) all of the medical information you would find in other baby’s first year books on the market, delivered with a faith-based perspective and leaving room for readers to determine what is best for their baby as led by God, their ultimate baby companion.
Part of our hope in delivering the information in this resource is to include real life stories of moms who have gone before. One of the best ways to support mothers of newborns is to let them know they are not alone or the only one who has dealt with the challenges that come with a baby. We are looking for such stories to include in the manuscript.
Did you give birth to a preemie and have to endure an extended period away from your NICU newborn?
Did you have trouble nursing yet pressed through the challenges to become a breastfeeding success story?
Did your suffer from severe postpartum depression?
Did your baby have digestive issues or some other issue that required aggressive medical attention?
If you have a unique baby’s first year story to tell that you think will encourage other moms who may go through a similar situation, we’d love to hear from you.
Please submit your story in the body of an email and send to jesswolstenholm{@}gmail{dot}com
Please limit your story to 300-500 words.
Your story may be chosen to be included in The Baby Companion book or on the blog as we release the new book next year.
We look forward to hearing from the amazing mommies in our community to learn how you overcame challenging or unique circumstances as you adjusted to life with baby. We have so much to learn from each other’s stories. Providing a place to share is the heart of this community!
