Hide & Seek Devotional for Kids {Review & Giveaway!}
Since before my daughter was able to talk I have been wondering how to establish a foundation of truth and faith for her life. I understand that it begins with me {and her daddy} as examples for her to observe. I understand that the holy spirit must do a work in her that cannot be forced or rushed. Still, I’ve longed to do more to help her understand. Mostly, I’ve purposed to talk openly with her about matters of faith, even though her little heart cannot yet understand the depth of truth. I see it as a way to establish an open line of communication with her for when she can better grasp such matters. I’ve looked around at resources for her age group {preschool} and have found a few good books. I was very intrigued to learn about a new devotional from Tommy Nelson though and thrilled when I began reading it with her.
The new Hide & Seek Devotional from Tommy Nelson is a wonderful resource for studying the Bible and talking about important topics with your children. The premise of the book is to HIDE God’s Word in your heart (through scripture memory) and SEEK him (through simple bible study). Each topic follows the alphabet A-Z which further assists my goals for my daughter as she learns the alphabet. The book is geared towards 4-8 year olds and I believe as a child grows they will get something different and very practical from the book at each juncture. I definitely agree with Tommy Nelson’s description that this devotional, “Helps children hide God’s Word in their hearts and seek Him in their lives.” The book includes a free audio download of Scripture Memory songs to help children memorize 52 key Bible verses. The audio is narrated by actor, Kirk Cameron. The audio tracks are great! I love the intro story and the songs are fun and memorable.
You can preview the book here.
The Hide & Seek Devotional from Tommy Nelson is a great resource for preschool and early elementary kids. A wonderful tool that combines visual and auditory learning to fully engage your child.
Our friends at Tommy Nelson are giving away a copy of this great bible study tool today. Take a moment to enter below!

No special time, just when the time permits.
My daughter is almost three and loves her Bible stories, so as she gets a little older, I would love to have a resource like this to help her understand the lessons behind those stories.

Over the summer, I’ve most often done devotions right after lunch. I’d like to do them during breakfast once school starts so as to start their day off with Jesus. I’ve been looking for a devotional book for them and am so glad to hear of this one!
